How Is The System Broken Down?

Ok ok ok. Ignore the things that i said were the common theme(the last post was really me), and think about this. There is always a system to break down. Think about it...

Macbeth-breaking down the system of throne succession

Lord of the Flies- breaking down the system of the civilized school boy.

Fahrenheit 451- breaking down the system of burning books

The Chosen- breaking down religious and social systems

A Whole New Mind- breaking down the system of a left brained culture

Poetry-breaking down every system ever!

1984- breaking down the system of every government before it, and breaking down the system of the party

Romeo and Juliet- Breaking down the system of social norms, and family feuds

Book Assignment Overveiw

Macbeth(Rya)- Macbeth changes from a dutifully courtier to a murderous, ambitious killer because he hears that he will be king, and doesn't trust fate.

Lord of the Flies(Jordan)-The children that get stuck on the island turn from civilized schoolboys into savages when their surroundings change.

Fahrenheit 451-(Ryan)-Montag changes from a mindless follower into a rebellious book reader( which could be construed as turning savage, because he turns to violence) when his mind is stimulated by books and Clarisse

The Chosen(Katy)- Both Danny and Rueven change. Danny changes from a good Jewish boy into a pale skinned, slightly savage, psychoanalyst. Reuven changes from a mildly good Jewish boy into into a more Orthodox rabbi-wannabe.

A Whole New Mind(Jordan)- This book offers source of help on how to become less left brained and business-like, and more savage.

Poetry (Katy)- Most poems are about change, and represent how people can go from civilized to savage in the blink of an eye.

1984(Ryan)- This book reflects on how it is human nature to always be savage, regardless of our best efforts to become civilized.

Romeo and Juliet(Rya)- This play is a reflection on how love can bring out extremely savage feelings in us.

Be Kind to Your Fair-Feathered Friends!

Hi everyone. I read the comments on Holy Bigeezers, and noticed that we aren't doing amazingly as a team at this moment. But I say let's move on! :) We have a meeting with Mrs. Cornils on Friday April 11th after school in her history office. Remember, we present a week from tommorow, so we need to start preparing. I would like to be in charge of making the quiz if that is OK with everybody. I am also a little sad that the other group that presented today kind stole our idea (not on purpose, of course) so we may need to change some things up.
Good work everyone, now let's move on and get ready for next Friday! :)

Da PLAN

OKay, so. Our current plan is to get everyone to take a blog test on their own sheet of paper with a PENCIL while putting on a propaganda video. If they are off task, or copying, we close their laptop and give them a written test. POSTERS ON THE WALLS. with the help of trusted individuals as the Thought Police, our class will be properly assesed in the name of BIG BROTHER!
